The Pelvic Health and Rehabilitation Center is excited to announce that we are now accepting new patients in our newest location in Columbus, Ohio! Let’s be real, pelvic floor physical therapy is needed everywhere. Since we opened in San Francisco in 2006 we have been honored to help patients from all over; which has now prompted another expansion for us.

Who will be there?

Molly Bachmann moved from Columbus, Ohio to San Francisco in 2020 to work on the PHRC team. During her time in San Francisco Molly treated hundreds of people with pelvic health concerns. In addition, she completed her Doula training and brought her passion for the peripartum population to a new level as she began supporting people during birth. Molly is a mentor to the PHRC team and has helped cofounders Stephanie and Liz train a number of physical therapists. She has also traveled to Kenya Medical Training College in Nairobi, Kenya to train the second ever group of Pelvic Floor Physical Therapists in Kenya. She enjoyed her time in San Francisco and was ready to return to the Midwest. We are excited to announce Molly is helping PHRC open their 11th location in Columbus, OH in the fall of 2023.

Molly Bachmann PT, DPT is a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist and a Birth Doula. She also has taken advanced course work in fundamentals, advanced topics and intrapartum topics of Obstetrics through the American Physical Therapy Association’s Academy of Pelvic Health. With this background, she is able to combine advanced knowledge of the musculoskeletal changes that occur during pregnancy and the postpartum period and an in-depth understanding of the physiology of birth to facilitate injury risk reduction and optimize rehabilitation after birth.

Molly is also specialized in working with patients across the gender spectrum and works with clients as young as 4 years old. Molly has successfully treated many people with penile pain, scrotal pain, perineal pain, pudendal nerve pain, urinary frequency, urinary urgency, post void dribble, painful sex, constipation, urinary/fecal incontinence, post surgical rehab, chronic pelvic pain, Vulvar/Vaginal Pain, Endometriosis related pain, orthopedic pelvic pain and more. She has also successfully treated many children with constipation, urinary incontinence, and fecal incontinence.

With her pelvic floor physical therapy, peripartum physical therapy, and trauma informed approach, Molly offers amazing care for all persons wanting to optimize their pelvic health and eradicate pain and dysfunction.

What Makes Pelvic Health & Rehab Center Different From Other Pelvic Health Clinics

The therapists at PHRC are extensively trained in treating a wide range of pelvic health conditions from stress urinary incontinence to complex neuropathic pelvic pain. All of our therapists receive ongoing training to keep abreast of new research and technology within the field. While Molly has additional training as a Birth Doula, all of the physical therapists of PHRC are expertly trained to also treat men with urinary, bowel, sexual dysfunction and pelvic pain. We understand the challenges for the male population finding physical therapists trained to help. All of us at PHRC can help all genders!

We are able to provide one-on-one hands-on treatment with your dedicated therapist for the duration of your treatment, since we do not utilize assistants or aides.

We prioritize and embrace the importance of working within a multidisciplinary treatment team therefore we are eager to work with your other providers or help you find additional providers if necessary. Gynecologists, urologists, gastroenterologists, orthopedists, pain management specialists, psychologists, acupuncturists, among others, are all specialists that have a role to play in treating the pelvic floor. So when developing a treatment plan for a patient, our therapists draw from all appropriate medical disciplines.

Through the years, we have worked hard at PHRC to foster relationships with providers throughout the country who treat pelvic floor dysfunction. As a result, when developing a treatment plan for our patients, we are able to include these providers.

Once a patient’s treatment team is in place, we embrace the role of “CEO” of the team. In this role, we communicate and coordinate with the other members of the team. The reason we take on this role is that we believe that in order for a multidisciplinary treatment plan to be successful, there must be one provider at the helm of the ship. And since we are the provider who will spend the most time with the patient, it makes sense for us to tackle the job!
